| Comment: Love the beach reunions! I look forward to seeing old friends each year, seems like we've never been apart. I have spent the last 40 years with my husband Gary Matthews of Bessemer City, also class of 1968, a retired Marine, who still works at the Marine base in Quantico, Va. We have travelled near and far in service to our great country. Together we have 4 children, his, mine, and ours. We have 15 grandkids, 1 great granddaughter and great granddaughter #2 is on her way in Dec. 2016. We will be staying at the Ashworth with a few friends, next door to the Ocean Drive Golf and Beach Resort. Can't wait!! Go Huskies!!!! | |

We all had a great time at Beach Blast IV. We got to see more of our Hunter Huss friends than ever before. We got news this year that Sylvia Rhyne Hatchell, Class of 1970, had leukemia. Because of your thoughts and prayers, Sylvia is in remission. We are really so very happy to hear this news. Sylvia, I look forward to helping you set up everything again this year. We are gearing up for our push to get as many people signed up this year as ever. Look forward to seeing all of my Huskie friends and Classmates again this year. GO HUSKIES.
